Scripture card and toddler story

Hello friends and crafting buddies,

Today I'm sharing with you all  a Scripture card I made with the scripture provided by dear Abby in her blog littlebirdieblessings as a valentine freebie. I just loved the verse and the design and here is what I came up with.

Below is the actual scripture and the link of the blog post of Abby

I used my newly bought punches, yes you heard me right, I just came to see the leaf and a small flower punch in  my local craft store and have put them to use here in this card, distressing the flowers alone. I also added two lady bugs which are again from the same store and laces to finish. You can also see my red nylon flower as an additional touch :). And the flourishes for extra greenery.

I've also added liquid pearl for the eyes of the lady bugs.Tried to make a bow, hope it has come out well!!
And now to the toddler story part :
My little crafter also got some crafting time, and this what he came up with :)

I gave him a lady's finger and some paints,  having vegetable printing on my mind, BUT he didn't want to stamp :) (may be sees momma doing that often and got bored!!) so he just did whatever he wished! and this is the result. Oh, yes I had kept my otherwise busy toddler engaged for fifteen minutes :)

Hope you enjoyed your visit today :).

  1. What a beautiful scripture, and it is displayed so nicely. That extra touch of lace at the bottom is very pretty. Love to see how your creativity comes forth. And your little toddler is learning, too, to express his God-given talents. :o)

  5. Beautiful verse, Sarah and a beautiful card. Gorgeous springtime colours and I do love those ladybugs (we call them ladybirds in the UK, as they are bugs rather than birds I have no idea why!!)
Thank you for joining us at the Ladybug challenge. Jane xx

  9. Such pretty framing of the verse, always fun to get new tools to play with. Looks like your little guy had fun finger painting, so fun to create together :)

  10. Wow, you gave those new punches a good workout. I love this verse. Lately I'm seeing a lot of inspirational words, and oddly enough, it's always at a time when I need to hear just that which I'm reading. Coincidence? I think NOT! Your card is lovely, and neat idea to add ladybug eyes. What a perfect detail. The red nylon flower is exquisite trimming with the punches & flourishes. Loved the green art as well. I see some definite talent here... Bet he had such fun. Never to early to encourage creativity. TFS & Happy Weekend.
