Hope you are all doing well. And a Happy April to you :)
I'm late again with this week's scripture card.
This time, I've made a scripture card with a little difference. I've used my home made texture paste just to give some texture look on my card. It was a composition of talcum powder, baby lotion and glue with water.
Here's the link of the youtube video I used for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEDIUrI3o0E
Here's the card
Actually, I wanted it to give a masculine look to the card, but my hands couldn't control adding a flower to it :) So I punched the flowers, distressed with tattered distress ink and add added a small button.
Pleas leave your suggestions and comments as they are always very motivating!
Thank you for your visit today.

Oh Wow DIY texture paste? I did not know you could do that, how cool is that, love your background, I had to laugh when you mentioned you couldn't help but add a flower to a masculine card, I know what your saying it is hard, it turned out great!
ReplyDeleteSarah, such a beautiful work of art. Thank you for joining us this week at Word Art Wednesday. Blessings, Carole
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful...Love how it created a subtle background and allowed the scripture to take center stage. Wonderful design! Thank you for blessing us with your artwork this week at Word Art Wednesday. Would love to see you join us again in our next Challenge. Leaving you with a blessing from God's Word in Joshua 1:9- "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Hugs always!

This is a fabulous idea Sarah and sounds like a lot of fun ! Your card is beautiful , I think the flower looks lovely even on a masculine card!
ReplyDeleteSarah, this is so lovely & soft, and even with the uncontrollable flower (!), it is still a nice masculine card. Guys like flowers too, and this one is not frilly. It's tailored! TFS the link to the paste. I'm still not great with the purchased stuff, but I think it would be fun to make your own, add tints. It worked wonderfully on this pretty card. Well done. TFS & Hugs
