I'm so excited to share today's crafty creation with you all today, as it happens to my birthday ;)
Okay, to my post now:)
I had saved this cereal box to do something, but I didn't get any idea. When I was reading Margaret's post on how she altered cereal boxes,(she has altered three cereal boxes so beautifully) I jumped into action right away! Thanks for the inspiration Margaret :).
This is what I came up with :)
First I covered the box with some scraps of pp then used a 12*12 Ciao Bella paper to cover the box. The paper itself was bright and cherry for a desktop, so didn't work on the paper much. Just added the embellishments, which includes, a chipboard gate, a lace, a fanciful flourish and some peach roses. For the sentiment part, I used the reverse side of my mini fanciful flourish die cut to create the texture.
Then used the banner stamps and the sentiment stamp.
Thank you for your kid visit today and all the lovely comments:)
I'm sharing this with:

Sarah, what lovely papers you selected to make this beautiful box. The chipboard gate was a lovely addition, but that gorgeous lace trim really caught my eye. This would make a good bill sorter box & be pretty on the desk as well. I visited Margaret's blog and mentioned I had hopped over via your link. Joined as a new follower, so tfs her link. Hugs And I hope you had a fantastic birthday too!

ReplyDeleteBelated Birthday Wishes to You.
Hi Sarah! I hope this finds you doing well. The Lord laid your name on my heart this morning, and I prayed for you. It's always a joy to visit your blog and see what you're creating. Of course, I'd love to have you share with us at Word Art Wednesday - I love your art and enjoy seeing it. Great idea on the cereal boxes. I've actually learned to start saving ALL the cardboard I get. I bought my hubby some new undershirts, and they come with a piece of cardboard under them, and it's the perfect size for a mini album when cut in half. We learn to get creative with what we have. You always inspire me, and I enjoy seeing your sweet creations. I really do hope all is well with you. For whatever reason, the Lord just laid your name on my heart this morning and I wanted to stop by and say hello. I hope you'll stop by my blog to say hello when you can www.karen-mycuprunnethover.blogspot.com and play along with us at WAW when you are able. God bless you, my friend.

Sorry Sarah meant to say box. I also love to use cereal box to alter or try running you CL die cuts through, they die cut brilliantly. Gives you a great base to paint.

This is quite beautiful, Sarah. Amazing what people can do with many items that would have gone to the rubbish.
