Latte Special

Hi dear friends,

Today's post is very special, as it is about "Coffee"  :) which is my favourite drink. As I came across a new challenge blog called "Beyond Grey Challenges" , I decided to participate, as soon as I saw the theme coffee.

WARNING  :-))
This post is going to be long, SO PLEASE HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE BY YOUR SIDE, SIT BACK,RELAX, AND ENJOY!

And now to my card

I had an old magazine cut out about a place in India, where coffee plantation is done. And I decided to use that in my pretty vintage type card. I also preserved the vintage type paper that came along with some embellishments, and decided to put it in use.

The challenge said to incorporate stitching any where in the card. So, I stamped my sentiment and attached it to felt background by stitching. Stitching on the felt was little tricky, as I was doing it almost in the borders. Made a bow with white satin ribbon, and attached a small piece of quilling strip at the centre of it.

On the inside, I've placed real pictures of two coffee cups on one side, and on the other side, I've stamped a sentiment all over a little piece of old canvas  to create a background and added one more sentiment in the centre. I've also added a small felt coffee cup stitched in the borders and the handle is a quilled oval.

Here is my card.

A closer look of the sentiment and the bow:

A closer look:
The background stamped sentiment says: May your birthday be special as you are.
Used Rich cocoa ink for stamping using Fiskar's clear stamp set.

Now with my  favourite coffee mugs:

Hope you liked the card.
Thanks for visiting today.
Your comments and suggestions are always an encouragement :)

I'm entering this card for
